Expelled by Samajwadi Party for praising CM Yogi, Pooja Pal named UP BJP vice-president

The Uttar Pradesh BJP has appointed former Samajwadi Party MLA Pooja Pal as a state vice-president in its new organisational team. Pal was expelled by the SP in 2025 after she praised CM Yogi Adityanath in the Assembly for eliminating her husband's killer and gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed. "Atiq Ahmed was a big financier of SP," she had claimed earlier.
