Odisha Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena recently confirmed that extensive gold reserves have been discovered across multiple districts. A GSI study had revealed significant deposits in Sundargarh, Nabarangpur, Angul, Koraput, and Keonjhar, with ongoing exploration in other regions. The Odisha government is preparing to auction its first gold mining block in Deogarh.
