Extinct fox from Argentina shared strong bond with humans: Study

An extinct fox species in Argentina, Dusicyon avus, possibly shared a close relationship with humans. The 1,500-year-old skeletal remains of fox were found among remains of 21 individuals. Upon analysis, lack of cut marks on bones suggested it wasn't hunted for food. Its diet resembled that of buried humans, indicating it was either fed by them or on kitchen waste.
