Ex-US marine jailed for 4.5 years in Russia for drunken attack

A former US Marine has been reportedly sentenced to four-and-half years in a Russian penal colony for attacking a police officer while drunk. Police removed Robert Gilman from a train following complaints from fellow passengers in January. He was then arrested for kicking an officer while in custody. Gilman said he has "apologised to Russia" and the police officer.
