Ex-Vatican envoy to France convicted of sexually assaulting 5 men
A Paris court on Wednesday convicted Vatican's ex-ambassador to France Luigi Ventura of sexually assaulting five men in 2018 and 2019. The court handed the 76-year-old a suspended eight-month prison sentence. Ventura, who'll now appear on France's sex offenders register, has also been ordered to pay about $15,800 in damages. Ventura had resigned last year after reaching his retirement age.
