Ex-world number one badminton player Ye Zhaoying revealed she was asked to lose 2000 Sydney Olympics semi-final against eventual champion and compatriot Gong Zhichao. Zhaoying stated it was a conspiracy against Danish player Camilla Martin, who lost the final. She stated, "If I had won...semi-final and then gone on to lose to Camilla...all of China would've considered me a traitor."
