FAA bans unauthorised drones along US-Mexico border
The FAA has imposed a temporary flight restriction barring unauthorised drones up to 400 feet above ground, extending one nautical mile north of the US-Mexico border. The move targets cartel drone threats used for drug smuggling and surveillance. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth warned the military will shoot down any cartel drone threatening US sovereignty.
