Facebook acquires WhatsApp for $19 billion, not $16 billion

Unlike earlier reported, Facebook Thursday acquired the mobile messenger WhatsApp for $19 billion - $4 billion in cash, $12 billion in Facebook shares and $3 billion in “vesting restricted stock” (which will be given over in next four years). Earlier, it was the reported that the deal stands at $16 billion - the $3 billion wasn’t included in the total at that time.
