Facebook being used in ways never anticipated: FB executive

Facebook's product manager Samidh Chakrabarti has admitted the company is "being used in unforeseen ways with societal repercussions that were never anticipated." In a blog post discussing social media's impact on democracy, Chakrabarti said Facebook allows people to spread misinformation and "corrode democracy." He added that Facebook has a moral duty to make itself as trustworthy as possible.
