Facebook, Instagram use Twitter to update users on outage

Amid an ongoing partial global outage of Facebook and its owned apps including Instagram, the company took to Twitter to update users. "We're working to resolve...issue as soon as possible," Facebook tweeted. Instagram updated users that it was back up after a partial outage of over 12 hours with a tweet, however other apps remain down for some users worldwide.
