Facebook Messenger suffers global outage for a few hours

Several Facebook Messenger users across the globe on Tuesday reported they were unable to log in or receive messages on the messaging platform. The outage, that began after midnight, continued for a few hours before Messenger was restored. It comes after Facebook recently unveiled a new update for Messenger allowing users to delete sent messages within 10 minutes of sending.
