Facebook parent Meta fires more than 11,000 employees worldwide

Facebook's parent company Meta on Wednesday announced it is laying off 13% of its entire workforce, affecting more than 11,000 employees. "I want to take accountability for these decisions and for how we got here," said Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. "In this new environment, we need to become more capital efficient," he added.
