Facebook pays 17 million rubles to Russia over content violation

Facebook has paid 17 million rubles (₹1.7 crore) to Russia in fines owed for not deleting content termed as "illegal" by the government, news agency Interfax reported on Sunday. Facebook and Google face another court case next week for suspected repeated violations of Russian legislation on content. If guilty, they could be fined a percent of their revenue.
