Facebook profit jumps 71% to $3.89 billion in Q2 2017

Social media major Facebook on Wednesday posted a profit of $3.89 billion for Q2 2017, up 71% from the previous year. Facebook also reported a total revenue growth of about 45% in the quarter to $9.32 billion. The company's shares rose more than 4% to about $173 (₹11,000) in after-hours trading after releasing its earnings report.
