Facebook reveals use of AI to tackle terrorist content

US social media giant Facebook has revealed that it uses artificial intelligence (AI), including image matching and language understanding, in addition to its human reviewers to identify and remove terror-related content from its platform. This comes as Facebook faced pressure from governments to identify and prevent the spread of "terrorist propaganda" on its service.
