Facebook rolls out feature to turn off red notification dots

Facebook is rolling out a feature which lets users selectively silence the "red notification dots" that appear on top of shortcuts in the app's navigation bar. It is also launching an option allowing users to toggle some shortcut tabs off. Users will be able to remove tabs like Marketplace, Events, Profile, Watch, Groups and Pages from the navigation bar entirely.
