Facebook to verify identities of profiles with large audiences in US

Facebook announced that it will be conducting ID verification for some profiles with large audiences in US. It added it will verify identity of people who have a "pattern of inauthentic behaviour" on Facebook and whose posts start to "rapidly go viral" in US. If someone chooses not to verify their identity, distribution of their viral post will remain reduced.
