Fact Check: TRAI didn't demand ₹5,000 for installing mobile towers

A fake notice is circulating online falsely attributed to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), claiming that ₹5,000 has to be deposited for installing mobile towers, according to the PIB Fact Check. Department of Telecommunications or TRAI is not involved in leasing/renting the premises for the installation of mobile towers, PIB Fact Check added.
