Failure of love not crime: HC as it quashes rape case against man

The Orissa High Court dismissed an FIR against a man accused of rape by a woman who was in a relationship with him for nine years. "The law doesn't...impose criminality upon every failed relationship," it said. "That the relationship didn't culminate in marriage may be a source of personal grievance, but the failure of love isn't a crime," it added.
