Fake Covid certificate funds used to make bomb in 2022 Coimbatore blast: ED

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) said its probe into the 2022 Coimbatore bomb blast found that the accused raised funds through a fake Covid-19 vaccine certificate racket run during 2021-22. The fund was also used to procure bomb-making materials and aid Madras Arabic College, ED's report added. The accused allegedly sold fake vaccine certificates to people in Mumbai for money.
