Fake video of Manikarnika Ghat redevelopment surfaces, FIRs filed

Varanasi police have registered eight cases over AI-generated images and misleading posts related to the redevelopment work at Manikarnika Ghat. Officials said the fabricated content, shared on X, was contrary to actual facts of the ongoing beautification work. They alleged that images linked to Hindu deities were circulated with the intent to hurt religious sentiments and mislead the public.
