Families of which states spend the most on groceries?

Based on the government's Household Consumption Expenditure Survey, the Indian Express has shared the state-wise data of average expenditure a family of four incurs in different states/UTs. Chandigarh, where families on average spend around ₹14,850/month on groceries, tops the list. It is followed by Delhi (₹14,124), Kerala (₹12,100), Goa (₹11,660) and Punjab (₹11,352).
