Fanta originated in Germany during World War II

Coca-Cola Company's soft drink Fanta originated in Germany during the World War II, due to difficulties in importing the original Coca-Cola syrup from the US. Coca-Cola's German plant manufactured the drink using ingredients available in Germany. The company later clarified that it "had no association with Hitler or the Nazi Party." Notably, World War II ended on September 2, 1945.
