FAPI PET may improve surgery planning in ovarian cancer

Dr Prathap H J highlighted that [68Ga]Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT may improve preoperative mapping of advanced ovarian cancer. In a Bengaluru study of 200 women, FAPI PET detected peritoneal spread more accurately than conventional CT, particularly in the upper abdomen, small bowel and mesentery, potentially helping guide surgery or chemotherapy.
