A farmer in Uttar Pradesh received an electricity bill of ₹222 crore for a commercial EV charging connection in Uttar Pradesh's Chipyana Khurd village. The bill showed seven months of pending dues for his 25-kW connection. The consumer, Vipin Yadav, later approached PVVNL and the Bharatiya Kisan Union. Power officials said the bill was generated due to a technical glitch.
