Farmer loses 25 acres of crop after following AI's advice in China, suffers ₹21-lakh loss

A 67-year-old farmer in China's Anhui province reportedly lost nearly 25 acres of sesame after following pesticide advice from an AI app. The app recommended him to use mixture that included fomesafen, a herbicide considered unsuitable for blanket use on sesame. His crop wilted within a day, causing estimated losses of 150,000 yuan (₹21 lakh).
