Farmer seeks ₹3,500 crore from govt, says family land taken by British now houses Raipur airport

A 53-year-old Raipur farmer has moved the Supreme Court, claiming land housing Swami Vivekananda Airport’s terminal and gardens belongs to his family, reports said. Ashwani Bandhe said the British took it temporarily during World War II for military use. He has sought nearly ₹3,500 crore in compensation, including alleged unpaid rent, interest and decades-old dues.
