Farmers in Karnataka dumped tonnes of mangoes on roadside near Srinivasapura in Kolar district due to a fall in the prices. Kolar district Mango Growers Association President Neelaturu Chinnappa Reddy said that the price of Benishan variety has come down to ₹10,000-₹15,000 per tonne from ₹1 lakh in 2019. "Farmers are struggling to even cover the transport cost," he added.
