Farmer's son hides clearing IIT from family to join NDA, wins President's gold medal

Gaurav Yadav, the son of a Rajasthan farmer, hid from his family that he cleared the IIT entrance test to join the National Defence Academy (NDA). On Wednesday, he emerged as the President's gold medal winner of NDA's 143rd course. "We were confident about his success and never stopped him from doing what he loved," his parents said.
