Farokh Engineer says he is still waiting to receive Padma Shri announced 53 years ago

Ex-India wicketkeeper Farokh Engineer said he is still waiting to physically receive Padma Shri announced for him in 1973. The government's official Padma records list Engineer among that year's awardees. The 88-year-old claimed he never received official communication, certificate or medal. Engineer said he recently approached ICC Chairman Jay Shah over the matter, who assured him that he'd help.
