Farthest man-made object in space still working after 40 yrs

NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft, the first ever man-made object to leave the solar system and reach interstellar space, is still relaying data back to Earth 40 years after its launch. Travelling at over 60,000 kmph, the spacecraft, which can detect and fix its own problems, was also the first to discover volcanoes and lightning on a planet other than Earth.
