Father beats 10-year-old to death over suspicion of stealing ₹500 in Ghaziabad

A 10-year-old boy was beaten to death by his father in Ghaziabad because he suspected the child had stolen ₹500. The boy's neighbours said 10-year-old Aad lived with his father Naushad and stepmother Razia, both of whom would frequently thrash him. On Saturday, Naushad began beating Aad with a blowpipe after the couple couldn't locate ₹500 kept in the house.
