Father donates liver to save one-year-old with rare disorder

Doctors at a hospital in Patparganj of Delhi saved a one-year-old boy from Uzbekistan with rare genetic Alagille syndrome through an urgent living donor liver transplant. Initially misdiagnosed with biliary atresia, the child's condition worsened. After detecting liver and heart involvement, doctors performed a successful transplant with the father as donor.
