Father shoots gunman at Oregon school, saves lives

Kaylub Giamanco, father of two students at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon, shot and stopped a 16-year-old gunman who killed three children (aged 5, 8, 11) and a teacher on Thursday. A fourth student and another teacher were critically wounded. The attacker used his mother's pump-action shotgun. It was the 28th US mass killing this year.
