FCNR(B) deposits likely exceeded 2013 record in 45 days: Study

India's FCNR(B) deposit mobilisation has likely exceeded the $26 billion raised under the 2013 special scheme in just 45 days, SBI Research said. The report estimates total inflows under the RBI's current measures could reach $80-85 billion. RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra recently said banks have already mobilised nearly $32 billion, mainly through FCNR(B) deposits.
