FCRA Bill in LS on Aug 12, Shah assured no retrospective effect: Mizoram CM

Mizoram CM Lalduhoma said Home Minister Amit Shah indicated the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill could be taken up in Lok Sabha on August 12. "The Home Minister assured me that the retrospective clause won't be there," he claimed. Christian organisations had feared such a provision could put assets created using foreign contributions at risk if registrations were later cancelled.
