FDA accuses JUUL of undermining efforts to curb teen vaping

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accused e-cigarette startup JUUL and Marlboro owner Altria, which recently bought a $12.8-billion stake in JUUL, of undermining efforts to prevent vaping among teenagers. "[Altria's] newly announced plans with JUUL contradict the commitments [they] made," FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said. A joint meeting with both JUUL and Altria has also been called.
