FDA approves drug to treat severe fatty liver disease

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a drug that can treat non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Rezdiffra, which is also known by its molecule name resmetirom, can reduce liver fat accumulation and liver scarring. NASH is a severe form of fatty liver disease wherein there’s liver inflammation and damage caused by a buildup of fat in the liver.
