FDA cancels 15, suspends 28 methanol licences in Pune

Following the Pune hooch tragedy, FDA inspected all 102 methanol-licensed companies in Pune division. No illegal sales were found, but 28 licences were suspended for documentation deficiencies and 15 cancelled for storage, handling and distribution violations. Monitoring will continue to prevent methanol misuse, officials said.
