FDA withdraws Cipla licence cancellation after HC calls it 'overboard'
Maharashtra FDA has withdrawn its order cancelling Cipla Pharma & Life Sciences' drug sale licence for its Pune facility after the Bombay High Court criticised the regulator for acting "overboard". The FDA said it will issue a fresh show-cause notice and pass a reasoned order. The licence was cancelled over alleged packaging, storage and recall irregularities involving Reactin Plus tablets.
