Feared extinct, Bangka slow loris primate rediscovered in Indonesia

The Bangka slow loris, a venomous, slow-moving primate, has been rediscovered on Indonesia's tropical island of Bangka after last being scientifically documented in the 1930s. Listed as critically endangered and possibly extinct, the species was found by an animal rescue organisation, which came across more than 90 individuals in recent years on Bangka. Most were returned to the wild.
