Federal court pauses $110 billion Paramount-WBD merger

A federal judge has temporarily paused the $110 billion merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery after twelve states filed an antitrust lawsuit. Despite earlier DOJ clearance, the 14-day restraining order halts the deal to evaluate market competition concerns. A hearing on a preliminary injunction is scheduled for August 3.
