Ferrari F1 cars did not feature sponsors in a GP after 9/11

Ferrari's F1 cars at the Italian Grand Prix, in the week following the September 11 attacks in New York in 2001, ran without sponsor names with the nose painted black as a mark of respect. "Ferrari [will]... show that it shares a sense of grief with the American people, with whom it has always felt close ties," Ferrari's statement read.
