Ferrari's first EV sells for record ₹382 crore, becomes costliest new car ever sold at auction

Ferrari's first fully electric car, Luce, set a world record after its first production model sold for $40 million (over ₹382 crore) at an RM Sotheby's auction in Monterey. The price is over 36 times the pre-sale estimate of $1.1 million. It surpassed the previous $26-million record for a new car at auction, set by Ferrari Daytona SP3 in 2025.
