FIFA cuts India media rights price to $35 mn, still no takers for WCs: Report
Despite slashing its media rights valuation for the 2026 and 2030 World Cups from about $100 million to $35 million, FIFA has found no takers in India so far, The Economic Times reported. This is largely because most 2026 matches will be aired between 12:30 am-7 am IST. In 2022, Viacom18 paid a record $62 million for a single edition.
