FIFA fines USA striker Bolagun ₹38 lakh despite suspending his one-match ban

FIFA's disciplinary committee revealed it imposed a fine of $40,000 (over ₹38 lakh) on USA striker Folarin Balogun for coming onto pitch and celebrate with teammates after being sent-off against Bosnia and Herzegovina. This comes despite Balogun's one-match ban being suspended by FIFA to make him eligible to play against Belgium. Notably, Belgium defeated USA 4-1 to reach the quarter-finals.
