FIFA Prez Infantino to visit Japan to seek Asian backing for 4th term

FIFA President Gianni Infantino will travel to Japan this week to meet Asian Football Confederation (AFC) leaders as he seeks re-election in March 2027. The meeting follows his apology to FIFA's council over a scrapped $4.2 billion plan involving World Cup commercial rights. Asian federations could play a key role in his bid for a fourth term as FIFA President.
