FIFA ready to slash WC TV rights price in China, no update on India yet: Report

With the World Cup 2026 set to begin on June 11, FIFA is willing to cut its original $300 million asking price for TV rights in China by over 50%, the South China Morning Post reported. The new figure is believed to be between $120 million-$150 million. However, there is still no update regarding the unsold television rights in India.
