FIFA WC players, fans from 5 nations face up to ₹14 lakh bonds to enter US
After visa policy changes by US President Donald Trump's administration, fans from five countries attending the FIFA World Cup 2026 must deposit up to $15,000 (around ₹14 lakh) in bond payments to obtain a US tourist visa, NYT reported. FIFA is privately pressing for player exemptions, it added. The countries include Algeria, Cape Verde, Senegal, the Ivory Coast and Tunisia.
