FIFA World Cup 2026 ball to be charged before matches

Trionda, the official match ball for the FIFA World Cup 2026, will be plugged in and charged before matches, according to reports. The ball contains an internal 500Hz motion sensor chip that continuously transmits live data to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system. This technology will help improve offside calls and goal-line decisions. The tournament will begin on June 11.
